Various bodies and individuals have condemned the killing of NCP Manipur Vice-President T Chungsei Haokip.
NCP Manipur Pradesh in a meeting held this afternoon decried the incident terming it as a brutal and cowardly act.
The party demanded the Government to apprehend the culprits without delay and punish according to the law.
The participants of the meeting stood in silence for two minutes to mark respect to the departed soul.
Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) and Kuki Movement for Human Human Rights (KUMHUR) and Kuki Students' Organisation also decried killing.
The bodies asked the perpetrators to come out with clarificiation at the earliest and further appealed not to repeat such inhuman act.
Taking serious note of the killing, RJD Manipur State Unit also condemned the incident.
The party also shared grief with the bereaved family.
Condoling Chungsei's death, Centre for Organisation and Research (CORE) also demanded punishment to the involved persons.
