15th raising day of UKLF observed

The 15th raising day of the United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF), a signatory of the tripartite SoO, was celebrated today.
On the occasion, SS Haokip, the commander-in-chief of the outfit extended his greeting to all the tribe leaders, chiefs, church leaders, leaders of civil societies, public leaders and to all his fellow citizens of Kuki (Khulmi) community.
"My greeting also goes to all rank and file of the Kuki army who have endured all types of difficulties and suffering at the cost of personal comfort and well being for the cause of our people's future," the message of the commander-in-chief chief added.
He paid tribute to all fallen soldiers of Kuki army and their family members.
Following the SoO with the government of India and Manipur, SS Haokip said that he implores to all revolutionary comrades of SoO signatories, learned intellectuals, politicians, social workers, leaders of several Kuki civil societies, church leaders, village chiefs, etc.
as to what would be the best political step for the people under the provisions of the Indian Constitution.
The proposal of Kuki (Khulmi) Development Council is open to positive criticism, suggestion and advice provided it has the potential to deliver the political aspiration and socio-economic needs of Kuki (Khulmi) people, he said in his raising day message.
