State students under the banner of the Democratic Students Alliance have started launching protest with black batch demanding befitting punishment to the culprits involved in the murder of SDO, Dr Kishan and his two staff from today.
Volunteers of the DESAM launched the stir of sticking black batch at three schools, Social Regular English School, St Joseph English High School and Bethel English High School located at Nambol.
The stir with black batch will continue till the culprits involved in the murder of the SDO, Dr Kishan, his driver Rajen and Mandol Token are awarded befitting punishment, said the education secretary of DESAM, arambam Thoithoi said.
He also demanded that state government should take custody of the main culprits H Ningshen behind the murder through the Union ministry of home affairs.
DESAM has less believed with the investigation of the NSCN(IM), he said citing the instances of investigation reports of the outfit in various crimes occurred in the state.
All cases handled by the outfit loss in the midway.
Even though Central leaders had many times expressed that the Indo-Naga ceasefire not cover Manipur, the same is existing in the state has been clear shown by the recent stand off between the AR and NSCN(IM) at Ukhrul when the later open a camp at Siroy village and non-taking up of any action by the state government, he said.
Rules of law of the state government only in force in the valley area only and it can't cover the hill areas where NSCN(IM) dominated, he alleged and asked why the state police did not take into custody the three persons abducted together with the SDO and rescued by the Assam Rifles later.
The non-handing over of the three rescued persons to the state police has feel the people doubt of government hand in murder case, he added.
In the more than 10 years of peace talks between the NSCN(IM) and Government of India, the Centre has been allowing the cadres of the outfit whatever they want freely.
In order to save the life of the security forces, cadres of the outfit is sending out in free in harassing the people.
As such people are suffering at the limit, he said.
In such situation, the state government is also remaining silent without taking up any action to check the activities of the outfit like giving license to do whatever they want, he further observed.
While asking what the benefits of the ceasefire in the state, Thoithoi demanded to press the Central government to review the existing Indo-Naga ceasefire pact to the state government.
Reiterating that state government should initiate to hand over the culprits from the NSCN(IM) custody through the Central government, the spokesperson said pressing the state government to conduct trial on the culprits and award befitting punishment.
Thoithoi went on to say that now the time to know by all communities in the state that under India's divide and rule policy, there had occurred communal clashes at various instances.
If not wake up in such time, it will be late and communities here will extinct from the earth.
He further demanded that government should take up appropriate action on time not to repeat such incident in future.
The students body will continue till the demands of the JAC and Apunba Lup is fulfilled by the state government while appealing students of other schools to stick black batch in support of the JAC and Apunba Lup.
