Reacting to the statement of N Radhakanta who revolts against the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Manipur, the NCP today clarified that Radhakanta is not even a primary member of the party.
Addressing media persons today at the NCP, Manipur office located at Thangmeiband here, the NCP, Manipur unit secretary, K Sarat said that Radhakanta has not renewed his membership of the party as per instruction from the National leaders of the party.
He said that his post of vice-president and spokesperson has been given charge to Senjam Tombinou and as such he is not related to the party in any manner.
The NCP secretary also arraigned that Radhakanta is making baseless statement for his individual gain.
Radhakanta, it may be mentioned, who identified himself to be the Vice-President of the NCP, Manipur had charged the party President, Radhabinod Koijam of taking the wrong step in joining the four-party alliance formed by the MPP, NCP, MSCP and NPP.
He told press men yesterday that he along with likeminded party workers will work for the Congress.
Meanwhile, the common candidate of the four-party alliance in outer Manipur seat, LB Sona has welcomed the decision of the CPI (M) to support the alliance's candidate in the outer seat while also appealing the people to support the alliance candidate.
