Imphal, March 05 2009::
Barely a day after the announcement of a four-party alliance by the MPP, NCP, MSCP and NPP, the BJP today trained its gun towards the alliance and termed the alliance as 'Unholy alliance'.
Speaking to reporters today, the media cell convener of BJP, Manipur, L Basanta said that the alliance formed by the four parties is nothing but an alliance that can be easily restructured at will.
He said the BJP is unfazed by the presence of the alliance.
Indicating that the BJP Central leaders have shown the green signal that the inner Manipur seat is reserved a berth in the Union government, the BJP leader also appealed all concerned to elect the inner BJP candidate in the coming Lok Sabha election.
Basanta also said that instead of announcing to boycott the coming election, it will be judicious if the people of Thoubal district vote out the candidates who they think are not the right choice.
Meanwhile, the BJP leader also said that the party's candidate for the outer Manipur constituency candidate will be announced within a few days while saying that ten contenders have submitted their application for favour of the party's ticket.
Basanta also pointed out that election in outer constituency are no election.
Even as voters have accepted to dance to the tune of pressure groups and they are not able to exercise their franchise, the BJP will ensure that the party comes out victory.
The BJP, it may be mentioned, will field former Chief Minister of Manipur, W Nipamacha as the party candidate in the inner Manipur Parliamentary constituency in the coming 15th Lok Sabha election, which is scheduled to be held on April 22 in inner Manipur constituency.
However, the party is yet undecided over the choice of its candidate in outer Manipur constituency, which is slated to be held on April 16.
