A day after being produced in a special NIA court and remanded into police custody for 13 days UNLF chairman RK Meghen has been shifted to New Delhi from Guwahati today.
He was shifted to New Delhi for further interrogation, a report received from Guwahati said.
As the court has agreed appearance of his counsel during the interrogation, advocate Gunedhar has also flown to Delhi this evening at 6.30 pm.
Meghen will be again be brought to Guwahati as he is to be produced in the same special court on December 15.He is likely to be brought back on December 14 .
In the meantime, MPP today expressed strong condemnation of the series of lies told by the Centre with regard to the arrest of UNLF chairman, RK Meghen and said it tantamounts to challenging the people of Manipur.
MLA RK Anand talking to reporters said that Centre can only absolve itself of the "chain of lies" by releasing a white paper on the trail of RK Meghen since his alleged arrest in Dhaka on September 29 till date.
He sought a "concrete decision" from the government of India on the "lies" surrounding the arrest of Meghen and called upon the government of Manipur "not to be a silent spectator" on the issue.
He also appealed to the people of the state to continue protesting and demanding democratically to reveal the truth of Meghen's case.
"We are all aware that Meghen is a rebel, the leader of UNLF, but we should not ignore the fact of his royal bloodline linking him to the great grandson of freedom fighter Bir Tikendrajit", he said, alleging the government of India's agencies of "gross human rights violation on Meghen" .
