The meeting of the District Level Officers, DLO Tamenglong has fixed the prizes for orange queen and best orange in the forthcoming state level orange festival which will be held from 10 to 12 December 2010 at the district HQs.
The DLO has decided to give ' one lakh for orange queen, Rs.75,000 and ' 50,000 for first runner up and second runner up respectively.
The same trends was set for best orange, second and third all fixed with ' One lakh, Rs.75,000 and Rs.50,000 respectively this year.
Though the guest list were not finalised the state level oranges festival this year will run for three days- 10, 11 and 12 December 2010 .
On 10 December the DLO has decided to hold a seminar on the problems and prospectives of successful cultivation of orange in the district.
The main event and function of the orange festival will be held on 11 December while on 12 December the DLO has decided to have an advance Christmas with all the Churches in Tamenglong participating in choir singing.
The meeting of the DLO held at the Nungba Sub- Division also formed a District Level Organizing Committee and Level Organizing Committee and sub- committees of the state level orange festival 2010 .
On the other hand the District Task Force Committee for selection of beneficiaries of Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program, PMEGP has declared the results of the personal interview today.
Of the 53 selected candidates 18 candidates are under KVIC, 15 candidates under MKVIB and 20 candidates under DIC.
The provisionally identified beneficiaries are subject to further verifications by bank and implementing agencies.
