Imphal, March 17 2011:
Opposition today came down heavily on ministers with biased attitudes towards MLAs during the general discussion on budget estimate 2011-12 in the House of the Assembly.
The Chief Minister directed ministers to discharge their responsibilities in the interest of the state.
Taking part in the general discussion, opposition member O Joy alleged that ministers are biased in taking up developmental work and they do not respond properly when opposition MLAs contact them.
He had urged the CM to ask his ministers to discharge their duties in a transparent manner.
He observed that ministers should leave the habit of taking interest only in their respective constituencies.
They should think for the whole of the state.
They should invite comments of all MLAs while taking developmental works in their respective constituencies, he added.
He said he himself always attends to calls from all concerned even during the night.
