State handloom fabrics and costumes in modern designs created by the Research and Self Employed Academy of Creative Arts in Ahariya and Fashion (RESEACAAF), will be exhibited in the 6th North East Business Summit Fashion Show, which is to be held in Mumbai on January 20, 2011 .
Ksh Ingocha, Principal, RESEACAAF, said that Wangkhei Phi and Fanek Mapan Naiba will be displayed in the first round of the fashion show.
Silk and cotton sarees with traditional designs will be displayed in the second round.
Modern wear fashioned from handloom products will be displayed in the third round.
Advisor, RESEACAAF, Hareshwar Goswami, will lead the state team at the summit.
RESEACAAF has already successfully organized a number of fashion shows in select hotels, cinema halls, amphitheatres and tourism festivals held in Manipur since its inception.
Ingocha said the main reason behind the exhibition of state handloom products and designer wear in the show is to promote the rich costumes and fabrics of the state.
Ksh Ingocha has received many awards in dress design meant for Shumang Lila and Manipuri digital feature films.
He was also honoured with the Dr Ambedkar Fellowship National Award in the 26th National Conference of Dalit Writers held in New Delhi on December 11 and 12, 2010 .
Kshetrimayum Ingocha is the son of Ksh Jugeshwar of Nungoi Litan Makhong.
He is presently residing at Haobam Marak Chingtham Leikai.
He was born on September 9, 1964 .
He started his career at the Rupmahal Theatre under the guidance of Jadumani in
2003 .
He has diploma degrees in Make Up and Dress Designing.
His career at RESEACAAF began in the same year.
He won the Best Designer's award in the Miss Manipur Contest for the years 2002 and 2007 .
He also won the best designer's award in the Orange Queen contest in 2003 .
Besides that he has designed dresses in many fashion parades, contests, films and Shumaang Leelas.
He has worked in various Shumaang Leela's like Mem Shahebki Saree, World Trade Centre, Lidice-gi Gulaap, Devdas, Taj Mahal, Kunti-4, Kunti-5, Gusmao-gi Khudol, Samballeina Kundo, Opium War etc.
He has also designed dresses for digital films like Lang, Matang Chabada Haige, Laibakki Chandan, Angaobasu Thamoi Palli, Ei Lakke, Eigi Lutmila, Telanga Mamei, Ei Ngaode etc.
