Triple Murder Case: Fresh warrant of arrest against remaining accused sought

In connection with the case of abduction and murder of Dr.Thingnam Kishan, SDO, Kasom Khullen and his two sub-ordinate staff, CBI has sought fresh warrant of arrest against the remaining accused persons who are still absconding.
According to a reliable source, Gaurav Singh, Inspector, CBI ACB, Imphal on Saturday submitted the request to the court of Vinay Kumar Gupta, Additional Sessions Judge cum CBI Special Judge, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi seeking fresh arrest warrants for Jonney s/o M Moses of Marum village, Sub-Division Machi, Chandel district, Manipur and RI Yurhor alias Abo Sibo s/o RI Phami of Tuinem (Teinem) village, PO and PS Somdal, Ukhrul district.
The submission mentioned that after investigations of the cases (no.36/2010 arising out of CBI case no.RC 2 & 3 (S)/2009-IMPL), CBI filed the charge sheet on 31 October 2009 against four accused persons namely Hopeson Ningshn, Abo Sibo alias Yurhor, Themshang alias Themhorshang alias Ashang and Jonney.
Accordingly, Ningshen was arrested and remanded in judicial custody, while remaining three accused namely Abo Sibo alias Yurhor, Themshang alias Themhorshang alias Ashang and Jonney were absconding, it pointed out.
The CBI memo also informed the court that during further investigation, it was confirmed that accused Themshang alias Themhorshang alias Ashang had expired in July 2010 due to an illness.
In order to arrest two absconding accused Jonney and RI Yurhor alias Abo Sibo, the CBI team headed by branch officers conducted raids at their villages based on intelligence inputs, it said, while adding that letters were also sent to the DGP Manipur Police and DG Assam Rifles, Shillong, Meghalaya to initiate actions for arrest of the absconding accused.
The CBI also sought assistance from Sr.
Consultant (Internal Security), Govt.of India to ascertain the whereabouts of the abscondees, however, efforts made so far have not yielded any result.
Quoting intelligence inputs, the CBI memorandum stated that both absconding accused are perhaps staying in the designated camp of NSCN (IM) at Hebron near Dimapur in Nagaland.
It requested the court to issue fresh warrant of arrest, while saying that efforts are being made to negotiate with NSCN (IM) to get the accused handed over to CBI.
