Internal dissension crops within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Manipur barely five days after the announcement of the four-party alliance formation by the MPP, NCP, MSCP and NPP for the upcoming election when the NCP Vice-President and Spokesman, N Radhakanta charged on Sunday that the Party's President, Radhabinod Koijam of taking the wrong step in joining the alliance.
"The Congress party being the largest political party in India which has been involving in the building of the Nation, the NCP deserves to support it in the Lok Sabha election," the NCP Vice President, N Radhakanta said while speaking to media persons today at his residence at Uripok Ningthoukhongjam Leikai.
He said that if the party is unable to field a candidate, it should support the Congress while also saying that he, along with other party workers, will campaign and vote for the Congress even if he is expelled for airing against the party president's stride.
"The matter will be informed to the state party president and National leaders of the party tomorrow," Radhakanta asserted.
He said that he has not been informed of the decision to join the alliance and he came to know the matter through media reports.
The NPP Spokesman also charged that the step taken by the party president is wrong while posing that to which party the MPP candidate will attach its alliance in case the candidate wins the election.
He said the party's president decision is devoid of seeing the future.
He further said that the Manipur State President of NCP and the party National Secretary, PA Sangma have been taunting while pointing that their steps have been wide of the mark.
