AR claims UG cadres deserted camps in Myanmar

Assam Rifles have claimed that UGs groups are facing severs problem due to large number of cadres deserting their camps in Myanmar.
UG groups are reportedly resorting to harsh measures to prevent their disillusioned cadres from deserting, IGAR(S) claimed in a statement today.
Confirming that troops of 11 AR on patrol near Skipe village along the Indo-Myanmar border engaged in a gunfight with a group of armed UG cadres on April 25 around 4.30 pm, the statement said that after a brief exchange of fire the UG cadres fled and crossed the border into Myanmar.
Villagers informed them that the cadres belong to PLA and were coming there for searching their two cadres who had deserted their camp in Myanmar.
Two cadres of the search party sustained injuries in the clash, the statement went on to claim.
In another counter insurgency operation of the 16 Maratha Li under Logtak Brigade of Red Shield Division in a joint operation with Bishnupur police commandos apprehended one women UNLF activist today from Terakhong Sangbi Mamang Leikai village.
She was identified as Laishram Bidyapati @ Ichangbi @ Amurai @ Sonia (24) daughter of L Ganda Singh, of Terakhong Sangbi Mamang Leikai of Bishnupur district.
She revealed that she had had recently returned from a UNLF Camp in Myanmar.
She has been handed over to Moirang PS later, a statement of the 57 Mountain Division said.
On the other hand, Thoubal police commandos arrested a KCP(MC) cadre identified as RK Manisana (32) son of RK Khedasana of Wangjing Heitupokpi from Khongjom Bazar yesterday.
A statement of the Thoubal SP alleged her of being working in the finance section of the organisation.
