A day after Sharma was re-arrested and sent to jail, the Sharmila Kanba Lup today has announced that they would start conducting street corner meetings and poster campaign on AFSPA across the state in solidarity her struggle.
The convener of the SKL, Ak Janaki while making the announcement today at a press comference held at Porompat PDA complex where the relay hunger strike carry on since December 10 last year said that during the campaign programme, leaflets on AFSPA will be distributed to the people as a part of awareness.
She also appealed on concerns organizing sports and other during Yaosang festival to observed two or three minutes silent by suspending all activities to mark support to the demand for repeal of the "black law".
Janaki also said that the group will start campaign to other parts of the country as well as outside the country to repeal the draconian law which is in forcing in the north eastern part of the country.
It can be recalled that the Sharmila Kanba Lup has been carrying out relay hunger strike from December 10 last year showing solidarity to th'e cause of Sharmila and demanding repeal of the AFSPA at PDA complex.
The strike has entered 91 day today.
