State voters: Female still dominate male

Even as the number of female voters in the State continues to outgrown their male counterparts, the highest number of voters in the State has been recorded in the age group of 20-29 years with the group accounting for 4,49,911 voters out of the total 17,47,889 voters in 2013 .
According to the final Photo Electoral Rolls brought out by the State Election Commission recently, the highest number of electorates has been recorded in the age group of 20-29 years while the least number of electorates in the age group of 80 years and above.
In the age group of 20-29 years, there are altogether 4,49,911 voters while just 30,552 voters in the age group of 80 and above years.
The number of voters recorded among different age groups are 30,552 (80 years and above); 72,447 voters (70 to 79 years); 1,39,266 voters (60 to 69 years); 2,23,388 voters (50-59 years); 3,45,185 voters (40-49 years); 4,39,885 voters (30-39 years); 4,49,911 voters (20-29 years) and 47,143 voters (18-19 years) .
It may be noted here that the total number of voters recorded in the Electoral Rolls of 2012 was 17,41,581 (8,51,544 male and 8,90,037 female voters).
But the it has increased to 17,47,889 in 2013 which includes 8,61,416 male voters and 8,86,473 female voters.
