CPI conference press state government

Imphal, February 19 2011:
The Communist Party of India, Yaiskul Local Council held its local conference at the residence of Thokchom Jugeshwar at Wangkhei on February 15.CPI state secretary L Iboyaima, state secretariat member BB Sharma, M Nara, L Thoiren and Th Manglem attended the conference as presidium members.
Kh Sanajaoba, a senior member of the CPI Yaiskul local council presided over the function.
The conference discussed about the various issues and problems currently facing by the country and the state and resolved to press the state government on various issues.
Among the demands, timely distribution of PDS items, initiatives of holding peace talks with various UG groups without any precondition, unemployment allowance to educated youths may be mentioned.
The conference also appointed a new executive council for the local council and elected former secretary Y Negen as its secretary.
