Under the aegis of Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Imphal, Ukhrul and Senapati districts, World Consumers Rights Day was observed yesterday at the State Guest House, informed a DIPR release.
The observance was graced by chairperson of Manipur State Women Commission Dr Ch Jamini as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, she remarked that all the people are consumers and as such people should be informed of prices of commodities and aware of their rights.
The observance was presided by advocate T Gogonchandra.
The World Consumers Rights Day was also observed at Senapati under the aegis of Senapati District Consumers' Club.
Consumers Day was also observed at Consumers Club Ukhrul office Wino Bazaar today.
The day function deliberated an emphasizes on the importance of Consumer Rights under the consumers Protection Act 1986.The function was participated by over 180 members including economist, intellectual, social organizations, ex-members and ex-president of CCU.
