Jiribam which falls under Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency will go to polls in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections
tomorrow.
The subdivision has 26587 voters out of which 13638 are famale voters.
Out of the total 36 polling booths, 13 have been declared as hyper sensitive and the rest 23 as sensitive.
All the Presiding officers along with their subordinate polling officials have left for their respective stations from the office of ADC Jiribam today.
Polling officials of Boroikhal and Babukhal polling stations have to travel on foot due to the absence motorable roads.
Personnel of 133 Bn BSF, 5 MR, Jiri police and VDFs will be deployed to ensure free and fair polling in the sub-division.
As of now, 258 BSF personnel have been pressed into service besides State forces.
One section each of BSF will be deployed in each polling booth.
