In separate incidents, Manipur Police Commandos and troops of Assam Rifles apprehended four UG cadres from different parts of the state, in the past three days.
Imphal West Police Commandos today apprehended one on bail cadre of PLA at Wabagai around 6.30 pm.
The PLA cadre was identified as Norem Komom @ Bokul(29).Four AK rifles, two nine mm pistols some properties of PLA were seized for his custody.
In another incident, troops of 17 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) apprehended one active cadre of NNW (PSG) around 2.55 am today from Namrei, Ukhrul district.
He was identified as Changeson Lungling(22), s/o Suiza Lungling.
One nine mm pistol and two 9mm live rounds were recovered from him.
In another two incidents, one KCP (MC) cadre and one PREPAK cadre have been apprehended by Imphal East Police Commandos, stated a press release of Imphal East, SP, Th Radheshyam.
Of the two, the arrested KCP (MC) cadre was identified as Md Ajib Khan @ Thoicha (20) s/o Md Ushmein of Urup Makha Leikai.
He was arrested from Urup Makha Leikai near Litan Makhong on December 5.On verification he disclosed that he is an active member of KCP (MC) Malemnganba Meitei group and was involved in hijacking a passenger Tata Magic from Imphal to Wangjing and extorting money from public, government officials and businessmen.
He further disclosed that he was working under the command of Md Kora @ Altab Khan (33) s/o Md Kadhir Khan of Urup Awang Leikai.
The arrested PREPAK cadre was identified as Laishram Lakpati @ Ibomcha (38) s/o L Tomba of Khongman Lisam Leirak, Zone III.
He was arrested from Ningomthongjao with one nine mm Smith and Wesson pistol loaded wth two live rounds.
The pistol bears the No.TCP 680LMOD3906, Made in USA.
On verification he disclosed that he joined PREPAK in March 2010 through one Thokchom Kanta @ Kant of Bashikhong Lamlong Mari Phangba and has been working under his command.
He further disclosed that he was involved in extortion, providing shelter to PREPAK cadres and transporting arms and ammunitions from one place to another.
