The BJP Parliamentary team members who came to the state on August 18 to assess the BT Road killing incident are said to meet Prime Minister and Union Home Minister on September 7 .
Sources said the BJP members will apprise the BT Road incident to the Prime Minister and Union Home minister during their meeting.
They are also reported to pressurise the PM and Home Minister for the ouster of Manipur CM O Ibobi and the dismissal of SPF government in the state.
It may be mentioned that the BJP Parliamentary team including its national spokesperson Prakash Javedkar, Vice-president Bijoy Chaturvedy, BJP Assam State president Rehman Dekar, National Executive member Rajen Gohain and BJP North East in-charge Chandrasekhar Rao had visited the state last month.
The BJP team found that the BT Road killing incident of July 23 was 'fake encounter.' They had already made their demand clear that the state CM should resign and the SPF government of the state should be dismissed.
A meeting of the opposition parties of the state was convened today at the MPP office following appraisal from the BJP national leaders that they are meeting the PM and Home Minister.
The meeting reportedly decided future course of action to be taken up by the opposition parties.
The meeting was attended by MPP President Dr Nimaichand Luwang, NCP Manipur Pradesh general secretary Sarat, BJP Manipur Pradesh president Haobam Borbabu, and secretariat members of CPI (M) Manipur state council Sarat Salam and Ksh Kanta.
The meeting has decided to fix a date for the opposition leaders of the state's visit to New Delhi after the BJP members met the PM and Home Minister.
The state's opposition parties were also assured by the BJP National leaders that they would seek appointment for them to meet the PM and Home Minister.
The opposition parties are said to pressurise the national political parties and UPA leaders for the ouster of SPF government in Manipur.
