President Spear AWWA Mrs Anita Loomba accompanied by president Red Shield AWWA Mrs Madhu Gurung visited 357 Field Hospital on May 28 to assess progress of the course and interact with the girls being trained as 'Health Angels'.
Reminding that 'health Angels' is a noble project undertaken by Red Shield Division to train educated village girls of the State in basic healthcare and maternity to enable the skills acquired by them to percolate down to the community from which they come, a PIB (DW) release also said Anita Loomba appreciated endeavour undertaken by the Red Shield medicals to train the village youths in basic healthcare and opined that the project will be of immense value to the society.
conveying that the present batch of 15 girls undergoing the training was inaugurated on May 25, 2009 at 375 Field Hospital by Mrs Madhu Gurung, the release also informed of the President Spear AWWA of interacting with the trainees who presented her a bouquet.
The dignitaries later visited patients in 183 MH.
