All India Students' Federation (AISF) has demanded the State Government to bring a solution to the controversy on appointment of Primary teachers.
AISF in a press statement said that the State Government must be responsible for the present controversy and dilemma being endured in the minds of the selected candidates.
All India Students' Federation urged the Government to save the lives of the three appointed candidates who have decided to kill self in protest against the Government's silence over the
issue.
Meanwhile, Association of the DPC Successful Candidates for Primary Teachers/HMT/HGT 2006 Manipur has said the successful candidates have been staging indefinite relay hunger strike at Singjamei parking.
The association also demanded the Government for saving the lives and prestige of the 1400 successful candidates by bringing an amicable solution at the earliest.
In another press statement, Joint Action Committee of DPC Successful Candidates for Primary Teachers/HMT/HGT 2006 Manipur asked why the Education Minister has not stepped down from his post over the issue.
The JAC also expressed reservations over the transfer of Education (S) Director and Additional Director in connection with the controversial issue.
The Joint Action Committee further said that it is set to initiate violent agitation if the Government fails to resolve the issue at the earliest.
