Imphal, April 13:
Greeting all the revolutionary organisations, particularly the members of MPLF and all those behind bars, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary which falls on April 15, general secretary of KCP, Noyon alias Laba today called upon all to teach the impostors, masquerading as KCP cadres a lesson.
In a statement, KCP said that the seven day State-wide bandh is being imposed by a group of impostors for their own personal gains in the name of promoting Meetei Mayek.
Such imposition of bandhs will serve no purpose except add to the woes of the people, said KCP and added that the time has come for all to teach such elements a lesson.
KCP fully supports the movement to revive Meetei Mayek but the imposition of bandhs is nothing but a ploy to distance the people from the issue at hand, it observed.
The novel protest launched by women folk at Singjamei with their kitchen utensils against bandhs was extremely meaningful, said the statement.
With the help of other revolutionary organisations and well wishers, KCP today has new arms and efforts are on to put up a full fledged army wing, said the statement.
Sounding a stern warning, the outfit said that it will henceforth start hunting down all the impostors and award them fitting punishment.
The outfit also appealed to the women folk and the people not to take such action as internecine killings as it has become mandatory to root out all such elements, who are intent on tarnishing the image of the revolutionary movement.
The impostors will be pardoned if they surrender to the party, said KCP and urged the family elders to bring their wayward wars to the right path, if they want to avoid any heart breaks.
