Patsoi residents stage sit-in

Demanding the concerned individuals to trace Sapam Chaoba (32) son of S Shyam of Patsoi Part III Mamang Leikai, who was taken away with a job promise, residents of Patsoi Part-III today staged a sit in protest at their locality.
Meanwhile, womenfolks of Patsoi Part III also stormed the gate of Cheirap Court protesting the grant of bail to one accused accomplice in connection with the disappearance of Chaoba.
The protesters today demanded legal penalty against those individuals involved in taking Chaoba away on the false promise of providing job.
They also threatened to launch intense agitation if the whereabouts of Chaoba is not traced within three days from now.
No trace of Chaoba has been found since the last week of October 2011 when he was taken away by one Konthoujam Ningol Rashitombi of Haorang Saban on the pretext of getting him a job.
When family members enquired the whereabouts of Chaoba to Rashitombi, she, without giving any definite answer told them he was in Jiribam, then Moreh and sometimes she said that she was in Guwahati.
Meanwhile, two women including Rashitombi, were produced before the Cheirap Court today after arresting them by the police in connection with the disappearance of Chaoba.
The accused accomplice of Rashitombi is one Ibechaobi of Moirang who is presently staying at a rented house at Khabam.
Ibechaobi was released on bail while Rashitombi was remanded to police custody.
Protesters stormed the gate of Cheirap Court today protesting the grant of bail to Ibechaobi.
