Source: The Sangai Express State Blindness Control Society, Imphal in association with DBCS, Thoubal and Lions Club of Thoubal conducted a one-day long free eye screening camp for screening curable blindness among the school children at Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi in Chandel district yesterday.
Medical Director of Shri Shankardev Nethralaya, Guwahati Dr H Bhattacharjee and State Programme Officer Dr Yiana Singh personally conducted the eye screening during which out of 19 blind school children, the chances of regaining eyesight of 6 of them have been found out to be very high, informed president of Lions Club of Thoubal Dr M Rajendra Singh in a statement.
