Imphal, May 17 2013 :
MPP advisor O Joy has stated that some Opposition parties have been playing spoilsport with regard to the collective effort of Opposition parties to field a common candidate in the next Parliamentary election.
Reacting to the statement of CPI's N Mangi that the party was working to put up Dr Nara in the Parliamentary election, Joy remarked that N Mangi was playing spoilsport to the collective effort of Opposition parties to field a common candidate by declaring at a CPI conference at Kumbi yesterday that CPI was working to put up Dr Nara.
Speaking at a function at Ibudhou Moiranpokpa community hall, Kakwa today, Joy remarked that Mangi was creating confusion by declaring that CPI was working to form a third front Government without Congress and BJP.
Given the existing situation of Manipur, interest of opposition parties need to be pushed to the backburner.
Rather, they need to join hands and work collectively to field a common a candidate.
Observing that Manipur has become a home of drug smugglers and murderers, Joy asserted that security personnel as well as politicians are involved in drug cartels.
