PREPAK salutes martyrs-II

In the Political Bureau (PB), which is the decision making body of the party, the following leaders have been appointed as members.
They are Ayekpam Dhiren Singh, Ph Kabikanta Sharma, Ningthoujam Imochouba Meitei, Loushambam Kritibabu Mangang, Maibam Nandabir Singh and Huidrom Tomba Meitei, Aheiba Angom disclosed.
Aheiba Angom recalled that after establishment of the outfit, all the male members of YUM joined PREPAK while the female members remained with YUM to help in reaching out the philosophy of the outfit to the people through poster campaign , wall poster, etc.
On December 24, 1979, six sister office bearers from YUM come into the fold of PREPAK.
They are Ch Shusilla Chanu, Ahongsangbam Medha Chanu, Miss Purnima Chanu, Kh Langdon Chanu, W Thoibi Chanu and W Memchoubi Chanu.
Joining of these six sisters to PREPAK came the first time in the history of revolutionary movement in Kangleipak when women took up arms for the cause of self-determination, Aheiba Angom said in his statement.
After the six sisters who were also the office bearers of YUM came into the fold of PREPAK, YUM had a natural death, the statement said.
On the other hand, KKK too faced the same fate after all its office bearers turned their attention to the affairs of the party, it added.
Since the birth of PREPAK, 'Pathou' used to be the form address among its cadres/Red Army.
However, since the early parts of 1980, the address as been changed to 'Marup'.
It is still being followed officially till date, Aheiba Angom informed.
