A day after SPF Legislature Party meeting resolved to join in the effort to resume classes in schools, colleges and university from tomorrow Monday, the All Manipur Students' Guardian Organization today appealed to the parents and guardians to sent their wards to school without fear.
The organization in a press conference held at its office at Palace Compound today also urged the government to ensure full proof security to the students attending class apart from appealing to the agitating groups not to disturb in the normal conduct of the classes in the schools.
Advisor, Haobijam Kulla observed that Manipur is in a conflict situation where insurgents are struggling for sovereignty in the backdrop of force merger of the state into the Indian union.
As the state is in conflict situation, none can say recurring of unfortunate incidents like that of July 23 which life of Rabina and Sanjit claimed.
Giving disturbances whenever such incident occurred will not be a right one.
Education should not be disturbed by any cause so far as possible, Kulla further observed.
AMSU and other students' bodies can take up works for the welfare of the students but they should not involve in the "conflict politic".
Students are not yet qualified for involving in it, Kulla went on to observe and asked the students not to involve in such situation.
Considering the prolong stay away from attending class by the students, he appealed to the parents and guardians to sent their wards to schools and help in the effort to resume classes from tomorrow onward.
If the guardians and parents wanted to impart education to children, schools should be allowed to open under their protection, he said stating none can interfere in it.
Kulla also urged the government to do what a government should do as they know what the agitating bodies wanted.
Compensations and other which government to offer should be paid out without delay and before strong pressure come up and release members of Apuna Lup detained by the government without any conditions.
The advisor also appealed the mediating body, Senior Citizens who know both the demands of the agitating groups and government stance to speed up the negotiation and bring solution at the earliest.
