Pressing their demand for unconditional release of the four activists, the AMADA has intensified its stir.
As a part of their agitation, AMADA supporters burnt tyres, pile up boulders and trees along NH 39 in Thoubal district today.
Because of the protest agitation, the Lilong Bazar remained closed from 9 am till 12 noon today.
The highway was blocked for some time by AMADA supporters at Lilong Tairel Makhong, Ushoipokpi, near Thoubal College and Wangjing Bazar.
The agitators used burning tyres, boulders, timbers etc.
A group of women who blocked road in Kakching Bazar demanding release of the AMADA activists was dispersed by police.
Similar agitation was also held at Langmeidong.
Meanwhile, AMADA publicity and propaganda secretary Ph Abe Chanu has cautioned the State Government to release the AMADA activists currently imprisoned before intense and violent agitation is launched.
She also accused the SPF Government of being anti-people.
On the other hand, many organisations have assured solidarity and support to any agitation that the All Manipur Anti Drug Association may launch against continued detention of its activists.
