Imphal, October 24 2010:
United Naga People's Council (UNPC) has called for unity among the different groups of people settling in Manipur and work together for protection of territorial integrity of the State.
In a statement, public relation officer of the Council Barimi observed that people should come out of their narrow parochial outlook and set aside their mutual hatred for sake of protecting their motherland Manipur.

Deriding each other in public or taking out protest rally would be only to our disadvantage, Barimi said, adding that everyone how are behind the attempt being made to create communal tension in Manipur, blocking the National Highways to make the people suffer.
Cautioning the people against such divisive forces, Barimi also appealed to all the people for support and contact [email protected] for comments and suggestions.
