Imphal, November 13 2010:
A one-day extended RCH II Outreach Free Health Camp was held at PHSC Thonglang Akutpa Village, under Primary Health Centre T.Vaishong on November 10 .
Block Programme Manager, CHC, Kangpokpi, Thangjamang Chongloi informed in a press release that the health camp was organized to reach the unreached/remote areas under the implementation of National Rural Health Mission programme, Medical Mobile Unit.
Throughout the One Day Extended Outreach Free Health Camp, doctors/specialists and non-specialists, nurses and para-medical staffs examined 114 patients.
The camp was organised into different departments like Gynae department which examined 8 patients, Medicine department �examined 47 patients, Paediatrics department�examined 13 patients, Ayush department�examined 24 patients, Surgery department�examined 3 patients, TB (RNTCP) department�examined 3 patients, HIV (AIDS) department�examined 2 patients, Eye Clinic�examined 46 patients, Malaria department�examined 4 patients and special immunization was conducted during the medical camp.
Free medicines were also provided to all the patients.
Further, investigation facilities such as Ultrasound, HB, ECG, ECL/BCI, Blood R/E, Blood sugar, Blood grouping, Stool R/E, Urine R/E, Widal test, VDRL, and X-Ray were provided to the needy patients, Thangjamang Chongloi informed.
