Imphal, May 28 2009:
The All Tribal Disabled Union Manipur (ATDUM) has sought suspension order of the seven personnel of 6th Bn MR involved in assaulting physically challenged L Daikho of Senapati village.
In case suspension order of the seven MR personnel is not issued by June 3, a 13 hour bandh will be imposed in all the hill districts with effect from 5 am of June 4, said ATDUM president Momo Tantanga.
Even as reports about suspension of the seven MR personnel have been published in local media, no suspension order has been issued yet.
No legal action has been initiated against the accused personnel, he alleged.
The ATDUM president also demanded that the Government should foot medical bills incurred in treating injured Daikho.
