Council exam results on May 31

Fate of 22,775 students who appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination 2011 will be confirmed within this month as the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur is committed to declaring the examination result within six days.
Citing engagement of teachers in the recently held Census 2011 exercise as a reason for the slight delay in announcing the result, Council's Examination Controller AK Tampakleima told The Sangai Express said fate of 22,775 candidates out of which 10,944 were female students would be known on May 31 .
Recounting that the class XII examination was conducted from March 16 till April 11 in 56 centres, including 30 private centres, she said checking of answer scripts, with the exception of theory and practical papers, had been completed on May 23 .
Further reminding that last year the examination result was declared on May 23, the Council official also informed that Government of Manipur making it mandatory for all the employees to report for Census 2011 duty compelled delay in declaration of this year's examination result where students from 133 higher secondary schools had appeared.In the 2010 exam, a total of 18,819 students appeared with 76.47 percent scaling the test, Tampakleima informed.
