A newly constructed office building of the DIG Range-IV has been inaugurated by IG (Law & Order) V Zathang, IPS at Senapati District Headquarters today.
Managing Director of Manipur Police Housing Corporation N Samananda Singh, IPS; DIG Range-IV M Sushilkumar Singh, IPS; SP of Senapati District NK Ujjwal, IPS and other officials of CRPF and Army were also present at the occasion.
Speaking as chief guest of the function, IG V Zathang observed that inspite of lack of adequate infrastructures, the State police and the personnel of the District have been performing their duties with great spirit.
This has been possible due to the co-operation and support of the people.
As along as the people support them, police can perform their duties more efficiently, he added.
Managing Director of Manipur Police Housing Corporation N Samananda said that though great changes have taken up in the district in comparison to the days when he was posted as the SP of the district, till there some infrastructural requirements that need to be taken care of.
Apart from increasing the number of Police Stations, the total strength of the personnel including women police deployed in the district would also be ensured along with taking up other developmental activities, he assured.
It is said that the office building of the DIG Range-IV which was inaugurated today had been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 13,10,790 although the sanctioned amount was Rs 25,84,644 .
As part of the function, the prizes of the essay competition organised by the district police on the occasion of 2nd October as well as in connection Police Raising Day were distributed among the winners.
