UGs set to join mainstream

In all 21 cadres of three underground groups namely NNC, NSCN (Unification) and PREPAK have reportedly approached the Red Shield Division with the request to merge them with the National mainstream and shun the course of violence and terror by laying down their arms.
According to a PIB (DW) release, the Division praised the misguided brethren for their courage, wisdom and able conscience in choosing the righteous path and assured them of all possible assistance in their rehabilitation process.
The 'Home Coming Ceremony' of these cadres is likely to be organised later this month.
Those who volunteered to give up violence have been identified by the release as SS Cpl Muri Toshi, s/o Chupong Muri, SS Pvt Toji Bongso s/o Shopochong Toji, SS Pvt Rejomong Throngjang s/o Ziukiumong Rejomong and SS Pvt Shekiupa Lathrong s/o Shekiupa of the NNC; SS Sgt Mosa s/o Cholenchu, SS Sgt Nakchingsonba s/o Chingmak, SS L/Cpl Sungba Chang s/o Ajong, SS Pvt David Sochiba Chang s/o Thangao, SS Pvt Limayanger s/o Asoyampa, SS Pvt Wapong Chang s/o Yanlong Chang, SS Pvt Thungdi Chang s/o Tochi Chang, SS Pvt Chingmak Chang s/o Chongshi Chang, SS Pvt Mosha Mongko Chang s/o Nama Chang, SS Pvt Mongko Sekum Chang s/o Choba Chang, SS Pvt John Chang s/o Atei Chang, SS Pvt H Lemba Chang s/o Hosapa Chang, SS Lt Chipong Chang alias Abong s/o Sansomang Chang, SS Pvt Nabam Chang s/o Somba Chang, SS Sgt Akong Chang s/o Hobonong Chang and SS Pvt Wongto Chang s/o Chabou Chang, all NSCN (K) Unification cadres; and SS Pvt Sikham Abung alias Phamdon, s/o S Bosan Meitei of PREPAK.
