Expressing serious concern over the ongoing cease work strike of Part-Time lecturers of Pettigrew College Ukhrul which has paralysed conduct of regular classes, Students' Union of the College has appealed to the authorities concerned to look into the matter.
The part-time lecturers of the College have been launching an indefinite ceasework strike since October 25 last in pursuance of their demands for regularisation of services and enhancement of renumeration as per the revised UGC pay scale.

Perminas informed that the ongoing strike has affected the students in their students to a great extent as the semester system has been introduced.
The services of the part-time lecturers are indispensable in regular conduct of classes in the college, Perminas said, while appealing to the authorities concerned to solve the present crisis at the earliest by fulfilling the genuine demands of the striking part-time lecturers.
