Youth Tourism Fest concludes at Lamdan

The youth adventure tourism festival organised by Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) concluded at Lamdan today.
Regional Director of NE Tourism, Deepa Laskar and MTTA president Dr L Surjit were the chief guest and president of the closing function.
Forest and Environment Special Secretary Adityakumar Joshi and former president of MMTA, Yambem Laba were also present at the occasion as guests of honour.
The festival was organised with the financial assistance from Union Ministry of Tourism.
Speaking at the occasion, Deepa Laskar said that Manipur has many spots which can be developed as tourist destinations.
Saying that MMTA's adventure tourism complex is a beautiful place, Deepa Laskar assured that she would press the Union Government to develop the complex so that it may attract more tourists.
Seventy youths who are at the age group of 14 to 25 years took part in the festival.
Colouful cultural programmes and an indigenous food festival for nearby seven villages including Lamdan marked the closing of the festival that kick started on April 30 .
