KNLF urges Govt

The Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) has urged the Central and State Govt to conduct a joint verification cum inspection to the proposed KNLF designated camp at Semol in Chandel district.
Speaking to media persons somewhere in Chandel district yesterday, KNLF secre- tary Tonglenlal Haokip alias Lalmoi said that construction of the outfit's designated camp commenced on May 10.The party has bore the expense of the construction work and it is set to complete soon.
He said that 40 cadres of the outfit are there and all of them are engaged in the construction work.
While acknowledging the assistance rendered by the neighbouring villagers, Tong-lenlal also said that the 6 Do- gra Regiment has been provi-ding security to them.
The cadres have been relocated to the present camp after staying at an AR camp for six months.
Saying that the cadres felt very much relief staying at their present camp, Tonglenlal added that harbouring them there could be counted as a part of rehabilitation package.
As such, the Govt should give its approval and ensure the completion of the construction work, he said while urging the Govt to conduct a joint verification and inspection at the earliest.
