It is the want of the people to know which bullet (shoot out by the security forces or by underground element) hit and killed Rabina.
The refusal to conduct judicial inquiry into the July 23 indiscriminating firing has showed that chief minister, O Ibobi is not thinking of his people, alleged president of the JAC formed in connection with the dead of young housewife Rabina today.
The dead body of the young pregnant woman was taken away by the family and JAC today from the RIMS morgue for performing the last rites at her husband's native village at Lamshang in Imphal west.
President of the JAC, Khundrakpam Shyamkanhai who was among the people gathering at RIMS morgue for receiving the dead body of Thokchom Rabina today said that chief minister has turned down the demand of the JAC to conduct a judicial enquiry into the indiscriminate firing in the crowded market place to know the fact about the incident is an unfortunate one.
The refusal has showed that chief minister is not thinking of the people of the state.
To know which bullet- from underground firing or from the security forces is the want of the people.
The fact could be established if the judicial inquiry be conducted, he observed.
Meanwhile, sources said that the baby in the womb of the Rabina was a male and it was about eight month old.
The bullet hit Rabina above the eyebrow and exited on the back side of the left ear.
On the other hand, in the continued protest against the shooting to dead of Rabina, a sit-in protest was staged at the Praja High School Lampak.
In the protest people of Lamshang area took part.
Slogans like "Repeal AFSPA, resign Ibobi as chief minister, punish the killer, we condemn firing at crowded area," etc.
