IGNTU's 4th foundation day

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) , Amarkantak, celebrated its 4th Foundation Day at its second campus, Lalpur, on April 19 .
Former Vice Chancellor, Sant Gadgey Baba University, Amaravati Prof Kamal Singh graced the occasion as the chief guest and Prof CD Singh, Vice Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak was the chair person.
TH Oliver, OSD, Manipur Regional Centre also took part in the commemoration.
The celebration commenced with the unveiling of the model of the University's concept in Vice-Chancellor's chamber at second campus Lalpur, followed by several colourful tribal and folk music performances.
Registrar of the university, Ashok Singh, presented the annual progress of the University.
In his address, counting the achievements of the university, he told that 301.86 acres of land has been allotted for the Manipur Centre and the foundation stone was laid by Smt.
Sonia Gandhi on November 12 last year, of which a digital survey has been done.
He specially focused on the newly built portal frame building, mentioned the journals published by the University, also stated that all students of Manipur Regional Centre received the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship by the efforts of the University.
A cultural exchange programme was organized in which students and teachers from Manipur visited Amarkantak, conveyed a press release.
