Imphal, April 15 2011:
The proscribed RPF has conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all those people who joined the Martyrs' memorial service at Cheiraoching, Tekcham and Kodompokpi.
Saying that certain changes could be observed in the conduct of police and traffic personnel in this year's Martyrs' Day observation, the outfit remarked that this was a welcome change.
"This could be taken as a first step towards removing all misunderstandings between us", the outfit said in a press release issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba.
"The RPF's struggle is for the people.
Success of the RPF's struggle means people's victory", the outfit asserted.
The movement can make significant strides when the people, people's representatives, employees and revolutionaries come to an understanding collectively as one.
The supreme sacrifices made by those martyrs would never go in vain.
They would go down the history as heroes of the nation.
It further conveyed special gratitude to all those people who took pains to ensure that the "Martyrs' Day" observance was a grand success.
