CLP sets 1000 target from each AC

To ensure mass participation in the public meeting to be addressed by AICC president Sonia Gandhi at Kangla on November 12, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in a meeting today has decided that not less than 1000 people should be mobilised from each Assembly Constituency.
Presided over by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, the meeting held in the afternoon today decided that public participation should be not less than 25,000 people and for this not less than 1000 people should be brought together from each Assembly Constituency.
The meeting, which was also attended by the District presidents of MPCC, resolved that all the Congress Ministers, MLAs and district presidents should mobilise not less than 1000 people from their respective Constituencies.

Furthermore, the meeting decided that bus services would be provided to facilitate the public to attend the meeting at Kangla.
Accordingly, it has been finalised that there would be one bus from Kakching Assembly Constituency, another bus from Wangkhem Constituency, 30 buses from Lilong Constituency, one bus from Kumbi Constituency, another bus from Thanga Constituency and two each from the constituencies of Yaiskul, Singjamei, Patsoi, Konthoujam, Khurai, Mayang Imphal, and Kshetrigao constituency.
The CLP meeting also discussed the security arrangements being put in place so as to avoid any untoward incident while Sonia Gandhi is in Imphal.
