There is the growing apprehension that the left arm of Golmei Mangal, who sustained bullet injuries in the July 23 Khwairamband Bazar incident, is likely to be amputated.
Golmei is currently undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital.
The family members have also expressed unhappiness over the failure of the Chief Minister to visit Golmei, when he came to meet the injured victims at the hospital on the day of the incident.

Addressing a joint press conference here today, representatives of Rongmei Women Organisation (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) and family members of Golmei, informed that the present condition of Golmei is such that his injured left arm may need to be amputated.
Pobi Golmei, elder brother of Mangal Golmei, said the left arm of his younger brother has been broken at three different points and the doctors have advised that he be taken outside the State for treatment.
However, entire resources of the family have been already spent on his treatment.
While expressing unhappiness over the failure of the Chief Minister to visit his younger brother when he came to meet the injured victims at the hospital, Pobi also informed that none of Naga civil organisations have ever come to ask about the condition of Mangal Golmei so far.
Expecting atleast some financial assistance from the side of the State Government towards further treatment of his younger brother, Pobi noted that the bullet that hit his younger brother appeared to be AK ammunition.
The president of Rongmei Women Organsiation, Panti Gonmei, observed that the Khwairamband Bazar incident has awaken the people and it is time for all the civil organisations in the hills and the valley districts to join hands in stopping fake encounters.
Announcing support to the ongoing agitation of the Apunba Lup, she also demanded unconditional release of the arrested members of theLup.
Failure of the BJP Parliamentary team that visited the State recently to meet the injured victims has also been decried .
