Imphal, February 17, 2010:
Dr Thingnam Kishan, Yumnam Token and Aribam Rajen whose killings shooked the entire State last year were remembered today on their first death anniversary.
The first death anniversary function organised by the JAC constituted against the highly abominable triple murder and family members at Gandhi Ghat, Uripok where they were cremated, was attended by a large number of people.
The solemn function held under the banner Peoples tributes to the three valiant, truthful sons of the soil was marked by offering of floral tributes to the three departed souls.
Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan, Mondal Yumnam Token and driver Aribam Rajen were abducted from Ukhrul DC office complex along with three other staff on February 14 last year.
They were found bludgeoned to death in the most savage manner at Lukhrabi-thong near Taphou Kuki village in Senapati district on February 17.The other three staff were, however, released unharmed.
The main accused in the triple murder Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN-IM is presently lodged in Tihar Jail.
A large number of people led by family members and members of the JAC started paying floral tributes at photographs of Kishan, Token and Rajen since morning.
A great number of women including vendors also joined the death anniversary and paid tearful tributes to the three victims of barbarism.
Aribam Ronibala, wife of late Aribam Rajen sought exemplary punishment for the savage murderers.
Rajen left behind four children and they are reading class IX, V, IV and I .

I cannot go past the crematorium ground of my husband together with my youngest child.
He would insist on going to his father.
He has been persistently asking where his father has gone.
When would he return?, said Ronibala wiping out tears from her eyes.
Following the death of her husband, Ronibala got appointment in Education Department as a Chowkidar as compensation for her husband.
Nothing can fill up the void left in my life by the death of my husband, she said while fervently praying that no such misfortune be forced upon any women in future.
Dr Kishans mother Pramo cried out her against the failure of the State to punish all those involved in the shocking murder.
Even as it has been one complete year since my son was killed, all the family members are still suffering from intense mental agony, Pramo said.
The bereaved mother deplored the failure of the State to take up any action against the then Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pal who was reportedly very much hand in glove with the killers.
The Governments attitude of paying little attention to the case with diminishing pressure from public and the bereaved families is highly condemnable, Pramo said.
He urged upon the Government to finish trial of the case at the earliest and award befitting action against all those found guilty.
She further demanded that the State Government should take up necessary legal actions against NSCN-IM.
Satyabama, elder sister of Yumnam Token, also cried for justice.
Late Dr Kishans wife Romita could not attend the death anniversary function as she is away at Delhi for a training.
Notably, a petition has been field at CJM Ukhrul seeking registration of a case against the then Ukhrul DC Pankaj Kumar Pal.
On the other hand, the JAC has been demanding arrest of all those involved in the heinous crime.
