The book features 15 short stories. Most of the stories are based on romance. The stories end in tragedy. The writer depicts the tragic life of a man called Noren in the short story entitled Mangkhraba Manglan. While Noren becomes a Deputy Commissioners of schools one day he graced as chief guest in the patriot's day function of a student life. She was no one but Pratima. Pratima and Noren were in love. One day while they were driving a motor bike they met an accident and they were fallen as victim. After the accident they never meet each other. Pratima was married by her father to a man. After a few years Pratima became a widow. One day when Noren, the Deputy Commissioner visited the lady teacher who had sung the opening song in the school function he realized that the teacher was no one but Pratima his beloved girlfriend. When Noren proposed her to marry to him she replied that she was already married to Rajen and she would not have any desire for remarriage. Noren turns back with despair. The story entitled Thamoi Laman is also the story based on romance ending with tragic death of the hero. Beena is also a short story reflecting the romantic affairs of a man and woman. It is written in the form of a letter addressed to the woman who is married to another man. The hero laments for his lost love.
