The minimum page of the books brought out by the Writers' Forum should be one hundred, according to the rules of the forum. Ibemhal's book could not reach the number. Did she ignore it or did the forum not inform the matter? Feminism is the main subject of Ibemhal's poetry. She wants to throw out the old conventions of woman. A new convention having the right to freedom is to be prepared and enforced, that is the poet's ideology. The lightening cloth is what the poet calls a new convention. Illustrations on every page are glamorous. The credit goes to Robin Wahengbam. The picture are abstract and through provoking. They have poetic qualities. The word Nongthang (thunder and lightening) was first used by Arambam Ongbi Memchoubi. Nongthangleima (the goddess of lightening) was the title given to one of the poems by Memchoubi. Like Memchoubi who is physically and mentally a feminist Dr Ibemhal becomes an ardent feminist now. In the poem entitled Maramdi, the poet highlights the sufferings and the helpless conditions of a woman who is constantly depressed by her man companion. When the man puts the woman to a condition of a doll hanging to death, she revolts against all men of the world who would like to suppress woman. Besides the feminist point of view the poet explores in the romantic world, too.
