The book features 18 short stories. The short story entitled Waroukhramale on the first page reflects the condition of a hapless woman who is enticed by her parents to marry to her brother-in-law. After the death of her wife, the man, while trying forcibly to take Bebi as his second wife, the narrator, who is a neighbor has beaten him up black and blue. Why he does so? Bebi's parents charge him that he wants to marry Bebi so that he could beat Bebi's brother-in-law seriously. The consequence leads to suicidal death of Bebi. The story Chandol'pu Nambo Poba which takes the title of the book reflects the repentance of a doctor named Romesh who neglects his father. Using the flash back technique, the author depicts how the narrator's father leaves home and spends his life marrying another lady as his second wife. Ramesh, the narrator could never love his father but questioned how can he discard his father at the time of death. One of the gripping story is Loudana Kaba is which a shopkeeper marries a beautiful and highly qualified woman named Sunita. He enjoys a happy life with the woman. But one day he realized that Sunita was a fallen woman. One Meghen had sexual relation with Sunita and as a result she became pregnant. The shopkeeper lost all his hopes and returned home carrying Sunita on his scooter.
