The Changing Trend: Are We Heading Forward ?

Changes do occur with the change of time. We played games in olden days that are worth remembering. Yubi lakpi, cheitek kotpi, Maroom konbi, keku lotpi, uraobi, fetfet gari, are my one-time favourite games I did played.
Thiree Six Neiyan Tuiyan Fepteen Aighteen guray... a marble game we played, now I know it was a Maths time table of 3 wherein we enjoyed with marble but unable to recite in Maths class..haha.
I came back muddy after whole day nobap kaobi match in the style of soccer in our muddy paddyfields. All history, no child is seen as such... Brucelee shoe is one important attire I still can't forget, the pride of wearing it was incomparable.
Our children today seems to compromise all such innocence we enjoyed earlier and are being overburdened with pressures, from schools, society and even at home. They are made to think faster with the flow of fast changing world.
From telephone to cellphone to smartphone and what next? A mind phone? A virtual phone? Lifestyle, requirements, thinking style, views, everything changes. At larger context the face of India is changing because of the young power look at any field, engineering, medical, defence, research. The other side of these young battalions of youths are the Night Outs, Launching in the Pubs, Showing off I-phones, smartphones, drugs, sex and other entertainments. In our childhood days the replica of all such was nupi koiba chatpa, chitthi iba, leipung famba...
Though Nation progress, a narrow look at Pangals of Manipur is below Nation's average. Our youths, not many are enthusiastic. Major challenges of these youths are poverty, drug abuse, less support from parents needs serious concern.
In a serious note, let us ask few questions: Do we have good TEACHERS? POLITICIANS? ACTIVISTS? AGRICULTURIST? BUREAUCRATS? INTELLECTUALS? SCIENTISTS? SPORTSPERSONS? SOCIAL WORKERS? SOCIAL SCIENTISTS? ENTREPRENEURS? RESEARCH SCHOLARS? WRITERS? HISTORIANS? ADVOCATES? JOURNALISTS? SOLDIERS? and lots many more....???
Isn't it limited to few? Who will mend this Huuuuugggeee VACUUUUUUUM?
Present decade is seen focussing more on bureaucrats, Doctors and Engineers which is very encouraging and Ma'Sha Allah we've got results, yet our core issues can't be healed with it. Challenges needs wide outlook and channelised strategy. Twitter, Google, Facebook keeps us busy daily, it's the changes we need to accept and is doing a great job.
Our graduates needs to be in Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc to face every upcoming challenges of Competition Arena. Our, more of a tradition, ways of setting aims to become a Doctor, Engineer, IAS, or other related goals needs serious revision. The old custom of a Government Clerk more secured and more valuable than a Manager in BPOs needs to be dropped.
We need youths who could think critically, who could discover how a virtual mobile phone would work and look like. This boys/ girls will no longer seek job rather they would create job. Wouldn't it be interesting to know you are a job giver rather than a seeker?
Pangals to my experiences got lots of derivatives rather than being themselves in this wide range of Creative World. Such mental chauvinism needs to be standardised, no doubt a Doctor's son can be an Advocate. The critical approach of our youth's mental retardedness needs proper redirection.
"Not every person with technical background is socially inept. There are enough nerds in this world to create the stereotype.." - Chetan Bhagat, What Young India Wants.
Isn't it true that many of our so called whom they themselves called leaders and achievers and the so called learned behave like a nerds? Why aren't they Touchy Freely???
Our boys neither plays the old games like cheitek kotpi nor they are in RIO OLYMPIC, 2016, where have they lost? Claiming 8% population share in the state has nothing to be proud of. Indeed we are proud of having nothing to be proud of. Yes we need financial freedom and for this we need ambitious battalion of youths.
Look at Mark Zuckerberg who shows up for work daily and updates Facebook Apps regularly. If not for financial freedom, he would have been a demanding and a problematical son.
Talking of some realities, we still have boys in their 20s who compel their parents to buy their Bike and Smartphones. This is not the end. They don't mind asking for mobile bills and fuels for their bikes. This isn't expected, yet a traumatic reality.
We got talented youths today, who could be anyone, anywhere, be it in Google, ISRO, or anywhere... Yes you read it right, anywhere. Call attention to bring them to mainstream and if necessary WHY NOT we can Channelise them forming an apex BODY.
