Ningol Chakouba Festival at New Delhi On 15th of November 2015 with Dr. Jitendra Singh (Union Minister of State, IC)
On 15th of November 2015 at Saraswati Bal Mandir School, New Delhi, Ningol Chakkouba (a Manipuri cultural festival) was organised by Ningol Chakouba Organising Committee, New Delhi along with Dr. Jitendra Singh (Union Minister of State, IC), K.D. Singh (Ex. Delhi Police Commissioner) and Shri Alok Kumar (Prant Sah-Sanghchalak).
The Festival was a version of “Ningol Chakouba” held in Manipur every year on the month of November. It was organised for Manipuri, out-stationed in Delhi from home to enjoy a feast celebration of the “Ningol Chakouba”, which took place in Manipur on 13th of November 2015.
During the Festival, around 600 people took part in the participation. Delhites, people from other North East States and from other states of India also participated in the Festival in Manipuri Traditional attires.

The festival was held to give awareness about the culture and tradition of Manipur as well to give the outlook of unity and integrity of the northeast states in India.
As a part of the Festival, Cultural program of Thang ta (Sword Fight), Dhol Cholom, Manipuri Classical Dance, Stick Dance and Blind Cutting were the main attraction of the crowds.
Lunch was prepared with 19 (nineteen) side dishes for the guests to enjoy the grand festival of Manipur.
Gifts were also distributed to conclude the festival.
