Dear sir,
In addition to the threathening of 14 Northeast students in CSKM public school, New Delhi,
another Manipuri boy reading in Class IX was severely beaten yesterday i.e. 28/03/2002
in the school premises by a group of local students and now the boy is admitted in a private hospital in Delhi.
Despite our request to the school authority for immediate intevention and ensure the safety of
the students no action has been taken by the school authority.
We are sending a team from All India Tribal Students' Assn., Delhi to enquire the matter.
The thousands of Northeastern youths seeking better education and employment opportunities in
Delhi are feeling insecure after the centre intelligence agency intensified the vigil on the NE
students after the arrest of one Mr. Brojen Singh and a student Mr.Ibotombi Sapam in Delhi.
Mr. Sapam has been staying in Delhi for quite long in search of employment.
There is a strong possibility that Delhi Police may overact at the time of carrying
out the investigation under POTA among the NE people in Delhi.

Subject:- In the matter of the life and security of 14 North-East students studying in your institution.
Dear Sir,
The Grievance Cell of the Association received a desperate call from the North-East students studying in your public school. The matter has been reported to the school authority but no action has been taken so far, despite repeated approached by the helpless students. That, on 14th march a small scuffle between one Mr Karbar Langbua Pajuh from Meghalaya studying in
Class XII and a mainland student took place in the Hostel. Immediately, after the incident, the local student inform outsider who threaten the entire class XII students from North East (6 from Assam, 3 from Manipur, 2 from Arunachal, 2 from Nagaland, 1 from Meghalaya.) with dire consequences if they do not vacate the Hostel before the Board examination. The Principal and the managing committee is fully aware of this incident but ignored the serious nature of the problem and told the N.E students that the school authority cannot ensure their safety and better they vacate the hostel even if they have paid the exorbitant fees for the courses.
That we are more than two thousand kilometers away from home and really in need of security and comfort from the authority of the institution in which we are studying. The Association is also aware that your public school is charging an exorbitant school fees and yet deny justice to our members whereas you are supposed to be the guardians of the students.
Therefore, keeping in view of the ground reality, The All India Tribal Students Association Delhi request you to immediately ensure the safety of these fourteen North-East students studying in your school and ensure that they appear the board exam without fear. In the event of any eventuality in the life and safety of the North East student, the School cannot escape from responsibility.
