A) Theater :-
- Artist of Manipur Dramatic Union, Imphal since 1994, Participated as an artist the 28th, 29th, 30th & 35th All India Multi Lingual Drama Competition &Cultural Festival 1995 – 2002, organised by Naitya Sangah Allahabad, U.P.
- Participated as an Artist in the Theater Festival & Short Play Compitition organised by Theater Centre Manipur from 1995 to 2007.
- Participated as an Assistant Director, Light & Set Designer in 1st National Theater Festival at Vijayanagram, A. P. at 1998.
- Participated as a Set & Light Designer in The 4th All India Multi- Lingual Drama Competition & Cultural Festival 1996, organised by UYSS (Cuttack) NIPA (New Delhi) & IATA (Denmark).
- Participated as a Set & Light Designer of the Play "Poubirai" at The Sangeet Natak Festival organised by The Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi & Dept. of Art & Culture, J & K at 2001.
B) Film (Celluloid) :-
- Worked as Asst. Director of "Laibakthibee" produced by Film Division of India, Mumbai on 2002 under the banner of Sangai Films, Manipur.
- Worked as Assistant Director of "Chatledo Eidee", the best film Manipuri 2001 of National Film Festival.
- Worked as Assistant Director of Manipuri Future Film "Meichak" on 1997.
C) (Documentary) :-
- Produced & Directed " Eigee Wari" (The Story of my live) a Documentary Film Participated in National Film Festival on Issues Concerning the Mentally Challenged 2009 at New Delhi.
- Produced & Directed the Documentary Film "Reaching the Unreach" based on Persons with Disabilities was nominated to "The Ability Fest International Film Festival" at Chennai 2009.
- Directed a documentary film on Persons with Disability entitled "Beyond the Barrier" produced by Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur on 2007.
- Worked as Assistant Director of three episodes of Ministry of Adult Education, New Delhi on 2002.
D) (DDK) :-
- Produced & Directed 3 (Three) Documentaries under the banner of A. S. Films telecasted on DDK, Imphal on 2003-04.
- Worked as Assistant Director under A. Shyam Sharma since 2001.
- Worked as Assistant Director under Makhonmani Mongsaba from 1997 to 2005.
- Assist Makhonmani's production of PPC, Guwahati under the banner of Sangai Films entitle "Th. Babu", "Rameshwori" & two documentaries.
- Work as Assistant Director of teleplay & Documentaries of Sangai Films production, under the sponsored of DDK, Imphal.
- Worked as Director of the Tele Play & Documentary named "Amaa" & "Amaa of Arunachal" for DDK, Itanagar on 2006.

ACHIEVEMENTS :-
- SPANDAN National Award 2013 in the category of 'Best Individual(Professional) by the National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India.
- Produced & Directed the Documentary Film entitled "Shakhangbidraba Mahakto" (The Unknown)Awarded 1st Position in the National Film Festival on Issues Concerning the Mentally Challenged 2007 at New Delhi.
- Directed 2 (two) Documentaries Films entitled " Khangdokpa" ( Hidden Talent) & "Eishu Hingli Nakhoigum" ( I live like you) awarded 1st Position in the National Film Festival on Issues Concerning the Mentally Challenged 2007 at New Delhi.
- Directed One Minute Documentary Film "Impossible...?" and awarded 2nd prize in We Care Filmfest 2009 (International Film Festival on Issue of Disability).
- Produced & Directed "Waiting for You" awarded 1st Prize We Care Filmfest 2010, (International Film Festival on Issue of Disability).
- Produced & Directed "Question of Success" awarded 2nd Prize We Care Filmfest 2011, (International Film Festival on Issue of Disability).
- Produced & Directed "Means to Live" awarded 3rd Prize We Care Filmfest 2013, (International Film Festival on Issue of Disability).

Laimayum Amarendra Sharma was born at Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai, Imphal, Manipur on 31st December 1968 as the last son of L. Joychandra Sharma & L. Radhe Devi. He got his first education from a L. P. School in his locality, further his Matriculation was implanted from Ramlal Paul High School, Imphal and Graduation was from Modern College, Imphal.
After some time He joined the field of theatre taking his first role as a British Officer in a Drama entitle 'Manipurgee Aroiba Ningtam Lal' (The Last Freedom War of Manipur). From 1994 he became a member and Artist of Manipur Dramatic Union, Imphal. In this theatre, one day he thought of doing something for Persons with Disabilities after seeing a drama for PWD entitled 'Makhoisu Meeni' (They too are Human).
In 1997 He underwent "One Year Theatre Internship Course in theatre and Film" from the Institute of Performing Arts under the sponsorship of National School of Drama, New Delhi. After sometime he came to work in the field of film under the guidance of the reknown film maker Makhonmani Mongsaba as an Asst. Director.
His first work in the film is "Meichak" a Manipuri feature film taking the role of Assistant Director and Assistant Editor. Amarendra also works as an Assistant Director in the film "Chatledo Eidee" which got "Rajat Kamal Award in 2001". He also works as an Assistant Director in the serials and Documentaries of PPC, Guwahati, DDK, Imphal and DDK, Itanagar long time.
In 2004, Laimayum Amarendra joined the Social Welfare Department, Govt. of Manipur as a Multipurpose Rehabilitation Worker on contract basis. During this period he took part in various Assessments cum Awareness Camps in the Hills and Valleys of the state (Manipur). In 2005 this department produces a documentary film entitled 'Beyond the Barrier' based on Persons With Disabilities, directed by himself for the awareness to peoples of Manipur.

In this year, a documentary film 'The 3rd December' (in relation to International Day of Persons with Disabilities) was also produced & Directed by him and broadcasted in DDK, Imphal. In 2006, Amarendra Sharma got first prize in the WE CARE FILMFEST for his three documentaries entitled Shakhangbidraba (The Unknown), Khangdokpa( The Hidden Talent) and Eishu Hingli Nakhoigum(I Live Like You). In 2009, his short film participated in "Reaching the Unreached" in 60 Second in Flame" (Ability Fest) at Chennai.
In 2010 he got First Price in the film "Waiting for You" and also the 2nd Prize of WE CARE FILM FEST 2011 in the short film "Question of Success".
In 2013 Laimayum Amarendra was again awarded the 3rd Prize of We Care Film Fest 2013 in the five minutes categories entitled "Means to Live" and awarded for 'Best Individual (Professional) 2013' by National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India.
